What's inside

Five tabs and a report

Expense Tracker is deliberately small. Every screen has one job, and none of them ask you to learn accounting.

  • Dashboard

Your balance, income, and expenses across the top. Underneath: how your budgets are doing and the five entries you added most recently.

  • Transactions

One list holding both expenses and income. Search it, filter to one type, and keep scrolling — it loads the next page as you reach the bottom.

  • Analytics

Income against expenses for every month of the year, plus a breakdown of which categories your spending actually went to.

  • Budgets

Give a category a monthly or yearly limit. What you spend is counted against it automatically — you never update a total by hand.

  • Reports

Totals for this month or this year, with every transaction behind them. Export the lot as a PDF or a CSV and share it from your phone.

  • Settings

Change your name, pick from 9 currencies, and delete your account — with everything in it — whenever you decide to.

Expense categories

  • Food
  • Transport
  • Shopping
  • Bills
  • Entertainment
  • Health
  • Education
  • Other

Income uses its own set: Salary, Business, Freelance, Investment, Gift, and Other.

Analytics & reports

The year in two charts

The Analytics tab draws your months and your categories. Reports turns the same numbers into a file you can keep.

Budgets

A bar that changes colour before you do

Set a limit on a category and the app counts your spending against it. At 80% the bar turns amber; past the limit it turns red — on the Budget tab and on your dashboard.

How it works

Four steps, then it's just upkeep

  1. 01

    Create your account

Register with your name, email, and a password. Everything you add from that point on belongs to your account and only your account.

  2. 02

Log what you spend and earn

An entry takes an amount, a category, a date, and an optional note. Expenses and income use the same short form.

  3. 03

Set limits on the categories that matter

Pick a category, choose monthly or yearly, and set the number. The app keeps score against it from your transactions.

  4. 04

Read the month, then export it

Check the charts on Analytics, then pull the month or the year out as a PDF or CSV whenever you need a record.

Your data

It's your ledger. It stays that way.

Nothing is sold, nothing is shared

We don't sell your personal information, and your financial data isn't shared with third parties for advertising or marketing.

Scoped to your account

Every request the app makes is filtered by the signed-in user. No other account can reach your transactions or budgets.

Encrypted in transit

Data travels over encrypted connections, and your sign-in tokens are held in your device's secure storage.

Deletion means deletion

Delete your account from Settings and your profile, transactions, budgets, and sessions go with it. It can't be undone.

Read the full privacy policy, or see how to delete your account.

Questions

Before you download

What does it cost?

There are no paid plans, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the app today.

Does it connect to my bank?

No. There's no bank linking and no automatic import — you add each expense and income entry yourself, which is what keeps the categories honest.

Which currencies can I use?

Amounts can be shown in BDT, USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, INR, AUD, CAD, or CNY. Pick one in Settings. The app formats your amounts in that currency; it doesn't convert between them.

Is there a web version?

Not right now. Expense Tracker is a mobile app for iOS and Android.

What happens when I go over a budget?

The budget bar turns amber once you've spent 80% of the limit and red when you pass it, both on the Budget tab and on your dashboard.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Reports exports the current month or the current year as a PDF or a CSV, and you can share the file straight from your phone.
